Choral Journal Advertising Policy

General Policies

  1. Ad copy subject to editorial approval.
  2. Headings and borders. The editors reserve the right to apply a header and/or border any advertisement bearing confusing resemblance to editorial material.
  3. Classified ads or reading notices.

Contract Terms and Agreements

  1. Contracts. Contracts may start with any issue and be applied to issues within the volume year.
  2. Multiple insertions. Insertion rates apply to the number of insertions actually used. Rates apply to the current volume year only and are for successive insertions of equal or smaller-size ads.
  3. Contract cancellations and killed advertising. Contracts may be discontinued on 30 days prior written notice by either advertiser or publisher. If ad(s) cancelled by the advertiser causes the advertiser to adjust rate schedules, the cost difference for the adjusted rate will be billed to the advertiser. Advertisements killed by the advertiser 45 days before the issuance date will be billed 20% of the contracted rate.
  4. For your protection. Written announcements concerning new rates will be made by the publisher approximately 30 days prior to the closing date of the first issue to be affected by the new rates.
  5. Bills rendered at time of publication. Net 30 days from invoice date. A two-percent (2%) discount is offered if payment is postmarked 10 days from first invoice date. A 1.5% (18% per annum) surcharge will be added monthly to unpaid balances after 30 days. A tear sheet and one copy of the publication are included with the invoice. Advertisers will be billed for any unearned discounts at the close of the publication year.
  6. Delivery. The Choral Journal is mailed as second-class postage on approximately the 25th day of the month preceding the issuance date.
