Kirby Shaw to conduct his music in Carnegie Hall;
200 member choir could include you, your choir or member of your choir

Kirby Shaw, who lives in Ashland, Oregon, has made a major impact in choral music education and has shared his musical expertise in 45 states, Canada, Australia, the Bahamas, Sweden, the Netherlands, italy and South Africa.

With over 2,500 choral arrangements and compositions in print, Kirby's music is sung around the world and has sold nearly 20 million copies.

On Monday, April 13, 2009, Dr. Shaw will lead a choir of over 200 members from across the country in an exhilarating concert of his own arrangements at the historic Carnegie Hall in New York City. Participating choristers will work with Dr. Shaw during a five-day, four-night residency to prepare the concert program.

Kirby would be delighted to have singers from the Northwest participating. You would arrive in New York on Friday, April 10, rehearse on Saturday, the 11th, Sunday, the 12th, and after a dress rehearsal, sing the concert. You will have plenty of free time each day. After the concert, you'll take a post-concert cruise around lower Manhattan.

MidAmerica Productions, founded by Peter Tiboris in 1984, will handle concert arrangements. For more information on how you can participate in this event, please visit their website at: www.midamerica-music.com or contact Kirby at: kirbyshawmusic@gmail.com
